A Warm Welcome to the Cambria Choir.

The Cambria Choir is a non-auditioning community choir based in South East London, led by Sarah Fisher.

The Cambria Choir was born and raised in a pub called the Cambria by a beautiful collaboration of Sarah Fisher and Lucy Harrower; we have been singing together in four-part harmony since 2011.

We're regulars at local festivals, have sung backing vocals to pop sensation Hazel O'Connor, and join forces with other choirs.

Braving venue changes when our beloved pub closed down, through Covid, Zoom, and singing outdoors, the incredible Sarah Fisher directs us with experienced keyboard skills.

If you want to join us, we practise on Thursdays in Station Hall above Herne Hill Railway Station.

Everyone is welcome.

The Cambria Choir members have said…

"Having been a member of the Cambria Choir for years, I can genuinely say that the Choir is my 'go to' for happy mental health; singing as a group goes beyond building a solid community; it brings confidence, memories and pure joy. The Cambria Choir teaches and performs fantastic songs from jazz to pop.

I would be lost without the Cambria Choir.”

Elle - Herne Hill

“I have been in the choir pretty much from the beginning about 12/13 years!

It began as a way of creating some time for myself with a busy family life with way too many children and animals! The choir instantly became something permanent in my life, giving me freedom and space,  tons of laughs, great friends and some hilarious experiences while performing in some amazing places!  I feel that my confidence in singing and just in general has been hugely boosted, and I would always highly recommend this choir to all.”

Louisa - Loughborough Junction

“The Cambria Choir is the source of such pleasure for me. The feeling of combining voices to bring songs to life is joyful, and even more so when shared with a local audience on special occasions. Sarah is a warm and talented choir leader, and to hear her piano playing every week is a real treat. I’m so glad to be part of the wonderful community that is The Cambria Choir.”

Lottie - Dulwich

“It’s tough juggling work and family, but Cambria Choir night is MY time - or rather, OUR time. I go for the instant and various community, and there’s nothing like singing together. We have a huge heart, and Sarah our leader is actually a professional musician, whacky and brilliant. Every Thursday I am refreshed, mind and soul.”
